I haven't been able to test the fix, but hopefully they really have resolved this issue which was pretty gamebreaking in the most underhanded way possible. This made the last three or four bosses of the game the easiest of the bunch for me, when they were supposed to be the most challenging.

According to the patch notes, they've fixed a bug that results in bosses becoming "immobilized," which I believe is a reference to the memory leak where if your system was left on too long (in rest mode or otherwise) bosses would lose IQ points and get stuck doing a singular attack on repeat. The patch also seems to have brought a fix to one of the most jarring issues I encountered during my own playthrough. That still isn't great, but considering load times were pushed closer to a full minute before, it's certainly an improvement. Player testing has revealed that getting to Hunter's Dream or other smaller, contained areas takes only about 10 seconds now, while larger expanses take about 30-40 seconds. In the just-release patched, load times have been reduced about 5-15 seconds, depending on the area. Now in a new patch, From Software has tried to remedy the load time issue. The same goes if they're trying to warp in and out of the Hunter's Dream, and a solid percentage of the game can be made up of these load screens depending on how you play. The penalty for death in Bloodborne (a frequent occurrence) isn't just the loss of progress, the resetting of enemies and the draining of all your currency, it also forces players to sit through an almost comically long load screen until they can respawn.

But the game has been challenging in another way as well.

Bloodborne is a difficult game full of brutally unforgiving enemies assaulting a player who starts out ill-equipped to face them.
